PDF to PowerPoint: page images or editable text
PDF to PowerPoint turns PDF pages into slides in a PPTX file. Files are processed in the browser on your device and are not uploaded.
Convert a PDF
- Open PDF to PowerPoint and choose the PDF. Under Source pages, enter the pages you want, for example 1-3, 5, or leave it empty for all pages.
- Choose the slide content: Page images: preserve appearance, or Editable text: omit images and graphics.
- Choose the slide resolution. For page images, a higher resolution gives sharper slides and a larger file.
- Select Convert PDF to PowerPoint, then Download PowerPoint.
Page images or editable text
Page images is the default. Each slide holds one picture of the page, so it looks like the original but its text and objects cannot be edited.
Editable text creates positioned text boxes in black Arial. It leaves out images, graphics, original colours and font styling. Tables become separate text boxes, not PowerPoint tables. The first selected page sets the slide size; pages with other proportions get white margins.
Links, forms and signatures do not stay interactive in either mode.
Check the result
You can download as soon as conversion finishes. Comparing each slide's extracted text with the source preview is optional but recommended. That preview is not a rendering of the PowerPoint file, so open the download in PowerPoint before you share it. The extracted text can include hidden text or inaccurate text from earlier OCR. This is not a redaction tool.
Limits
Editable text refuses pages with no text, unsupported rotated or skewed text, and text outside the visible page. Use page images for those pages, or run OCR on a scanned document first. PDFs that do not allow copying cannot be converted.
The source PDF can be up to 100 MiB and 500 pages, and you can convert up to 100 pages at a time. Editable text is limited to 10,000 text boxes and one million characters. Cancelling stops the conversion, and changing a setting clears the result.
